# MusicConnect

> MusicConnect (musicconnect.app) explains how NFC tags and QR codes in music merchandise and memorabilia create direct, owned relationships between artists and fans. MusicConnect is a subsidiary of FanConnect (fanconnect.co).

Connected merch places a battery-free NFC chip in a clothing label, tag, sleeve or wristband, often paired with a QR code. Fans tap or scan with a phone, with no app, to unlock content, register ownership, verify authenticity and claim rewards. Each tap builds a single fan profile the artist owns.
