What it takes to connect your merchandise — and what fans experience.
1
Plan the experience
Decide what a tap should unlock: content, registration, rewards, voting or authentication.
2
Choose the tag
Pick a woven label, printed tag, patch, sticker or swing tag — NFC, QR or both.
3
Encode and manufacture
Each chip gets a unique ID, optionally encrypted, and is fitted during production.
4
Launch
Fans tap or scan; a branded page opens inside your own app or website.
5
Learn and reward
Taps feed one fan profile, so you can segment, reward and re-engage.
A small, battery-free NFC chip is sealed inside a washable care label.
How NFC works in a tour shirt: A woven or printed label sewn into the hem or neck. 1. Tag in the label. 2. Fan taps. 3. Content opens. 4. Fan profile grows. Read the NFC tour merch guide
What the fan needs
Just a phone. NFC reading is built into modern iPhones and nearly all Android phones, and opens a web page without an app. QR codes work with any phone camera.
Will it survive the wash?
Textile-grade NFC inlays are encapsulated for laundering and are commonly specified for repeated wash cycles. Placement in a care label or hem tag keeps them comfortable and protected.
Privacy and consent
A tap alone identifies the product, not the person. Fans choose to register or share details, so data is collected with consent.
